In the interest of the public and of our clients we release this statement and the following principles, which we implement, that undergird our impartiality policy and procedures:

- Aequitas BEE Verification will not provide any other services, such as consultancy services, to an entity to which it is providing B-BBEE services.

- No B-BBEE verification will be done where any of Aequitas BEE Verification’s employees have provided the Measured Entity with consultancy services in the past 4 years.

- No person will be appointed to the verification team if that person has not been declared impartial

- All personnel and external analyst or experts will be required to declare their economic interests or any other interest or relationships that may pose a threat to impartiality.

- Before we appoint any person to the verification team, we provide the client and the verification team member with the opportunity to identify existing treats to impartiality.

- Aequitas BEE Verification will mitigate risks, where we can do so sufficiently and satisfactory, and if not will either appoint a different person to the team or withdraw from the verification.

- No verification will be quicker, easier or less expensive by virtue of the fact that a client uses a specific consultancy.

- No consultancy shall imply that a verification will be quicker, easier or less expensive by virtue of the fact that Aequitas BEE Verification is doing it.
